Rules for using NyumbaPap

Last updated 12 August 2026

These product terms are a launch draft and are not a substitute for review by qualified Kenyan legal and tax advisers.

Using the marketplace

You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and use NyumbaPap only for lawful rental-marketplace activity. You may not impersonate another person, scrape restricted information, bypass payment or access controls, submit malicious files, harass users, or publish fraudulent or discriminatory listings.

Listings and verification

Owners and agents must have authority to advertise a property and keep availability, price, fees, location, and contact information current. Verification badges describe checks completed at a point in time; they are not a guarantee of a property, person, transaction, or future conduct. Listings expire and require reconfirmation.

Payments

Displayed unlock or publication charges must be confirmed before payment. A browser success screen does not prove payment; verified provider callbacks control payment state and access. Do not pay a deposit before viewing and independently confirming the property and counterparty.

Enquiries, viewings, and safety

Users are responsible for messages and arrangements they make. Meet safely, protect one-time codes and financial credentials, and report suspicious conduct. NyumbaPap may review reports, pause listings, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with lawful requests.

Availability and liability

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or events outside reasonable control. To the extent permitted by law, NyumbaPap is not a party to rental agreements and does not guarantee that a listing will meet your needs. Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Ending access and disputes

You may stop using the service. NyumbaPap may suspend access for security, abuse, legal, or policy reasons, with appropriate review routes. Production terms must state the legal entity, governing law, formal notices, refund rules, and dispute process before launch.
